SKETCH

Rain falls, clouds turned to grey
She had opened her eyes, stretched her short arms
Put on her coat, watch the street lights die
Strange voices haunted her fingers:
“Hush little child ...it won’t take long.”
Thoughtless, silence bursts like a wind
Innocent mind starve for the answer
Curiosity builds-up
The time circles
Grown-up child, still searching for truth
Pulled-up her foot, step-down to the suburbs
Blackbirds, vultures, thieves struck her back
Speechless, gossips locked in her eyes
She fell down, unconscious girl lie on her bed
Thoughts random in her dreams
Wrath covered her ears
“Freedom”, she whispered to the glass.
She saw her face in the mirror
A dark skin under her eyes and a red spot on her chick
Alone, she laughed
Her heart cried
She walked out through the door
Still wondering, still her hair grew fast
Hurriedly, she came back
The door locked.
Foolish little girl still knocking
Grounded veins, unnoticed
She’s waiting in vain
